Movements in Malta

Maja Moser will once again be presenting the Gurdjieff Movements and working with the Malta Fourth Way Group during the first weekend in June.

Madame De Salzmann, who for many, many years worked closely with Gurdjieff had this to say about the Movements...

"The Gurdjieff Movements represent notes of an octave on a different level than that on which we live automatically. They lead the energy of our functions in an ascending direction, to a quality of vibrations of equal intensity in all the centers. A certain succession of movements has been foreseen to demand a special attention of thought, of the mind. Without this attention the process will not be able to continue. Thus the thought must be maintained with a certain quality, a certain intensity. But it is the body that performs the movement. To execute it and express its life fully, the body needs a great freedom. It needs to adapt itself entirely. The least resistance of the body will prevent the thought from following the order of the movement. If this quality in the thought and body cannot be maintained, the movement will not follow the necessary direction. It will be broken, purposeless. In front of the demand, the feeling awakens. The appearance of the feeling brings a new intensity, a unification that creates in us a particular current, a new octave."
